Good Morning Parents! We're getting ready for a great day at KidSong and I hope that your kids are looking forward to it!
In Togetherland, our young children will discover more about the church's mission to tell the Good News as they learn the Bible story of Peter and John and the lame man at Beautiful Gate, Acts 3:1-10. They'll be practicing telling the Good News to each other, too, and be sure to ask them to use their cards to tell you!
Their Remember Verse is the same as last week's :"The followers went everywhere in the world and told the Good News to people. And the Lord helped them." Mark 16:20
Today, Konnect kids will learn about Jeremiah the weeping prophet. After the celebrations last week when Josiah discovered the Book of the Law and read, it will be difficult to hear that God's people did not hold true to the "plumb line" of His Law. We'll be playing Playdoh Pictionary as we read about Jeremiah and the potter's shed, eating Scrabble Cheez-its while we read the acrostic poems that are Lamentations, and make a paper bead "necklace of tears" to remember the consequences of not holding to God's Word as our plumb line.
The memory verse this week is Joel 2:28 "I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophecy. Your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions." We know that God gives us His Spirit to keep us true to Him and to guide us towards God's Big Plan for the world. I am praying that our kids will take this to heart!
That's it for KidSong, we are about to head to church and celebrate our Great Big God!

Hello Parents!
We are returning to our Konnect and Togetherland programs for the last 6 weeks of the school year, and the KidSong Team is so excited to be back in action!
This week in Togetherland, we begin teaching our 2-5 year olds about the mission of the church, which is to spread good news! They will experience a "round the world" lesson with games, crafts, and a special parade! The Bible story is from Acts 2, Peter tells the crowd about Jesus. The Bible says that people from all over the world heard Peter's message, and we can share the Gospel with everyone we know!
The Togetherland Remember Verse this unit is "The followers went everywhere in the world and told the Good News to people. And the Lord helped them." Mark 16:20
And in Konnect, we jump right in to the Old Testament, with this week's lesson about King Josiah, who finds the book of God's Law and helps his people do what's right. We'll make plumb lines and discover that when we aren't sure what's straight and upright, God's Word is the plumb line of our lives.
The memory verse this week is "I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line." Isaiah 28:17.
Be sure to keep encouraging your kids to remember their verses and bring their Bibles to KidSong, those points are racking up and most kids are within a week or two of a goal magnet. I'll send out a letter about those again sometime this week.
Well that wraps up KidSong sneak peek for this week, can't wait to see you there!

Good Morning Pardners! It's another week On the Trail for Kidsong.  So let's get started!
In Togetherland, your 2-5 year olds will be continuing their series "Jesus Has the Power" (and boy, can they say that LOUD!) with Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4:35-41). This week, stage a re-enactment in the tub or outside in a bucket of water. Splash around and talk about trusting Jesus, who has the power over everything - even the wind and the waves!
Their Remember Verse is still the same : Matthew 28:18, 19 "All power in heaven and on earth is given to me. So go and make followers".
In Konnect, our next stop On the Trail is at Mary and Martha's house. We'll see that Martha wanted Jesus to think about her and Mary wanted to think about Jesus. We all want to honor Christ and do things to show Him our love, but we really need to SPEND TIME WITH JESUS - our Target for the week.
We'll be using cowboys and Disney World, the President and skateboards, sponge painting and napkin swans, to point kids toward our Target, to SPEND TIME WITH JESUS.
Our memory verse is Matthew 6:33 "Seek the kingdom of God before all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need." When we make time to spend with Jesus, He gives us strength to get everything else done too!
Hope you are using your Trail Journals during the week. Written in the voice of the disciple John, they help connect some of the dots on the week's journey.

Howdy Parents! I am writing this update a few hours early since it's daylight savings time tomorrow and we'll be springing ahead and losing an hour. I need all the sleep I can get on a Sunday morning, so I'll sneak in a little time tonight.
This week, we will worship together in KidSong, and our worship set will contain the new I Will Follow song as featured in the last post, as well as I Wanna Follow Jesus, and God is Great. There will be some quiet worship time with Mighty to Save. I am hoping to have some new CDs or a downloadable playlist up soon so that you can worship along with your kids anytime.
Togetherland, our preschool environment, will continue their Jesus has the Power series, on miracles. This week is the feeding of the 5,000, when Jesus multiplied a small gift of bread and fish into enough for a crowd. Be sure to talk about it next time you serve Goldfish for a snack!
Konnect Kids are still On the Trail, this time literally, as we stop on the roadside to hear about the people who thought about following Jesus, but had other dreams they wanted to follow as well. We'll talk about the dreams we have for our futures, and discover the best goal is to FOLLOW JESUS, our target for the week. There will be obstacle courses and trail mix, cowboys and astronauts, all to help your child FOLLOW JESUS more closely.
Our memory verse is Colossians 2:6 "Now as you accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, you must continue to follow Him."
Use the Trail Journal this week to see how John and his friends learned to FOLLOW JESUS.
Can't wait to saddle up and get to it tomorrow! Hope to see you bright and early at KidSong!

Hi Parents! We are so excited for KidSong this week! Both groups are starting new series, and we have some new worship to celebrate God!
In Togetherland, we begin a unit on the miracles of Jesus called "Jesus Has Power". Kids will be encouraged to think of all the amazing things Jesus has done. Today we will hear about Jesus power to heal. Stay tuned for the memory verse!
In Konnect, it is the kick off week of our new On the Trail series, where we join Jesus and the disciples on the trail to Jerusalem as Jesus prepares for the cross. First stop is the mount of Transfiguration as the disciples are challenged on what it means to really know Jesus. They knew the teacher, the leader, their friend, but the Son of God who talks to the prophets, is loved by the Father, and will rise from the dead? We will all be encouraged to hit our target this week and KNOW JESUS for who He is, God's Son.
Our verse this week is Philippians 3:10 -" I want to know Christ better. I want to know the power that raised Him from the dead."
Get your kids ready for a wild time on the trail, with high speed games, rocks and clouds trail mix, and a whole new look at Jesus!
We will be posting our new worship videos on the site soon, so be on the lookout!

Hey Parents, I hope your families are ready for a great week! There will be some great stuff happening today in KidSong! We will be wrapping up this worship series, so the kids will be singing their hearts out to Jesus Loves Me, My Best Friend, and Forever. It has been such a joy to watch them grow in worship this month.
In Togetherland, your preschooler will discover many ways of being thankful to God for what He has given us. Be on the lookout for a special craft that shows that we can be thankful for our families, food, homes, and world.
The Remember Verse are the same as last weeks - " A person must follow only the teachings of Christ." 2 John 9

Konnect kids get a treat today as they are led by Mrs. Magali, and discover how God worked through a prophet and a king, Isaiah and Hezekiah. They'll scramble for Scripture, create a craft, and practice their chopstick skills with some very "hot" tamales! These things will help stick the lesson in their minds and hearts.
The memory verse for this week is " And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8
This will be the last week of Konnect's regular teaching series for the winter; next week we'll start an adventure with Jesus as we follow Him on the trail to Jerusalem during the Lenten and Easter season.

Welcome to another wonderful week in KidSong!
In Togetherland, your preschoolers will learn to follow Jesus by being good helpers. We will act out the story of the Good Samaritan, and make a craft that will remind us to help others. Be sure to put this in a special place. I know all parents will enjoy the Good Helper coupons, special cards that will give your child practical ways to follow Jesus in servanthood.
Our Remember Verse is the same as last week. "A person must continue to follow only the teachings of Christ." 2 John 9

In Konnect, Jonah will learn a big lesson about loving His enemies and following God's plan, and not his own. There will be fish made of paper plates, prophets made of peeps, and an epic game of Go Fish!
This week's memory verse is, "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you." Luke 6:27

As always, today in KidSong, all ages will gather in worship and song, dance and prayer as we celebrate our Great Big God!

Welcome to another great week in KidSong! Today we're adding a new worship song - stay tuned to the blog for the video!
This week in Togetherland, your preschooler will learn to follow Jesus by sharing with others. They'll make paper baskets of sweets to share, have a sensory table of birdseed to take turns sharing, run a Munchkin sharing relay, and hear the story of the man who didn't want to share (Luke 12:13-21). It's a day full of love for others.
The Remember Verse for this unit is still "A person must follow only the teachings of Christ" 2 John 9

Konnect kids are going to have a hands-on experience with the miracles of Elisha, as they do an object lesson with floating soda cans, and have a tasty treat that reminds them of Naaman's healing.
The memory verse for this week is " No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 2:9
So get your kids up, get some coffee, and get to KidSong. It's going to be a fantastic week!

Good Morning KidSong Parents! I am really excited for what will happen today in KidSong and I can't wait to tell you all about it! We will join together and worship God, with the songs  "Jesus You Are My Best Friend",
"Yes! Jesus Loves Me" (see the previous posts for videos) and "Yesterday, Today, and Forever" . We'll use our voices, some instruments, and our whole bodies to show how much we love God and how happy we are to celebrate Him today!

In Togetherland, we are continuing our unit on Jesus is a Friend, with the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. This is not a story that leaps easily to the mind when thinking about preschoolers, but it shows that Jesus was a friend to someone who was very different from him. Today, they'll learn that they can be friends with all kinds of people who are different, because Jesus showed friendship to the woman at the well.
The remember verse is still "Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12

In Konnect, your elementary kids will see how God was with Elijah; that God fed him in the desert and spoke to him in a still, small voice; that God used him to get the attention of a whole country with a drought that would remind people to look to God as their hope. There will be popcorn tossing, paper crafting, and a stop-and-go game, that will engage all their senses, and that's after the story is told by Legos in our "See It" video!
The memory verse this week is
Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain       you; he will never let the righteous fall.”

Good morning parents! It's chilly out there today and I hope you are bundling up and getting ready for a rockin' morning at KidSong!
In Togetherland, we continue our Unit on Jesus and friendship. We get to see that Jesus is a friend to all people, and we too can be friends to everyone!
Our Remember Verse is the same as last week "Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12
In Konnect, we take a whirlwind tour of the Kings of Israel and Judah, focusing on how their relationship with God, or lack thereof, affected their countries. Some were good and some were bad, and we have chances to make good and bad choices as well. We'll see what happens when faith gets "diluted" during snack time, race to hide the baby king Josiah from his wicked queen grandmother, and see how "thumb" kings ended up in the Hall of Shame.
Our Memory Verse is 1 Kings 18:21, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him..."
And as always, we'll have engaging worship where kids of all ages can meet Jesus, and friendship building time where they can show His love to others. I can't wait to begin!
